Our
Heritage...Dayton
Band, Inc.
Robert R. Daugherty began operation
of Dayton Band in 1942 above the
Victoria Theatre. The business was
primarily sales and rental with
repair of instruments, both student
and professional level.
In 1965, Dayton Band moved across
from Forest park Plaza to 4523 N.
Main Street.
In 1973, Robert W. Daugherty took
over the business upon the death of
Robert R. Daugherty. He grew the
business into full line music retail
including instruments, also
expanding band rental to all
surrounding school districts.
In 2001, Dayton Band moved further
up Main to 8500 N. Main Street.
2008, a new location, a new concept. |
